In 2008 Lesley was ‘Artist in Residence’ at St Abb’s Head Nature Reserve, owned by the National Trust for Scotland. The headland is one of her favourite places to walk and sketch. She is inspired by the ever-changing colours as light plays across the amazing rock formations, the sea and the sky. Lesley was delighted not only to have accommodation on site for the entire summer, but also use of a building as a studio where visitors could watch her recreating her pastel sketches into oil paintings. Limited edition prints are available of ‘Sunset over Skelly’, ‘Receding Haar’, ‘Thrummie Car’ and ‘Mire Loch’ by contacting Lesley Directly. These are also available at the Number Four Gallery, adjacent to the Café and the Visitor Centre at St Abb’s Head. The gallery is open from Thursday to Sunday each week, or by appointment.
